What changes when you move, and what doesn't
A birth chart has two layers. The planets' signs and the aspects between them depend only on the moment you were born, so they are the same everywhere on Earth. The angles and houses depend on where you stand: the Ascendant is the sign rising on your local eastern horizon, and the Midheaven is the degree of the zodiac culminating on your local meridian. Move far enough east or west and a different part of the sky is rising and culminating at your birth moment. That is the relocation chart.
Astrologers use it to see how a place rearranges your life. Your Venus is still in the same sign, but in one city it may fall in the 10th house of career and public life, in another in the 4th house of home. The planet's nature stays the same; the stage it plays on changes.
Reading a relocated chart
Start with the rising sign. It changes fastest as you move and is read as the style you bring to daily life in that place. Then look at the Midheaven, the sign on the career axis. Next, check the angular planets: any planet within about 8° of the relocated Ascendant, Descendant, Midheaven or IC is emphasised there, just as it would be on an astrocartography line. Finally, compare the house table. The tool lists every planet's birth house next to its relocated house, so you can see at a glance which parts of life each planet moves into.

About the calculation
The relocated angles use the same sidereal time and obliquity as your birth chart, recalculated for the new latitude and longitude. House cusps follow the system you choose under Chart settings; Placidus is the default because it is the most widely used in Western astrology.
