What happens at a Saturn return
Saturn is the slowest planet visible to the naked eye, taking 29.46 years to circle the Sun. In astrology it stands for time, structure, responsibility and consequences. When it returns to where it was at your birth, astrologers say you are asked to review the life you have built: what is solid, what was borrowed from other people's expectations, and what needs to change.
The first return, around 27 to 30, is the famous one. It is often linked with big decisions: marriages and breakups, career changes, moves, deciding who you are rather than who you were told to be. The second, around 57 to 60, is read as a turn toward legacy and priorities. The third, near 88, is seen as a time of wisdom and reflection.
Exact dates and the return season
The calculator finds every moment Saturn crosses your natal Saturn degree to the minute, using the same planetary positions tested against NASA JPL that power the birth chart. Because Saturn turns retrograde for about four and a half months each year, some returns have one exact pass and others three. It also gives the wider window: from when Saturn first enters your natal Saturn sign to when it finally leaves it, which is the return season many astrologers describe.
