Venus in astrocartography
In astrology Venus is the planet of love and attraction, beauty and art, pleasure, harmony and money in the sense of what you value. It is one of the two traditional benefics, alongside Jupiter. Near a Venus line, astrologers say, life is sweeter: people are friendlier, beauty is easier to find, relationships come more easily and you enjoy yourself more. That is why Venus lines, especially the Venus DSC, are among the most searched lines on any map.

Which Venus line for what
If you are hoping to meet someone, astrologers point first to the Venus DSC. If you want to feel more attractive and confident socially, the Venus ASC. For a career in the arts, design, fashion, hospitality or diplomacy, the Venus MC. For a home that feels beautiful and peaceful, the Venus IC. Many people find two Venus lines within reach of the places they already love, which is a good test of whether the map speaks to you.
Why Venus stays near the Sun
Seen from Earth, Venus is never more than about 47° from the Sun, which is why it appears as the morning or evening star. As a result, each Venus line always runs within reach of the matching Sun line: your Venus MC line is never more than roughly 50° of longitude from your Sun MC line. If you were born with Venus close to the Sun, the two sets of lines nearly overlap, and astrologers read the pairing as charm and visibility together.
Your Venus sign and aspects
The line shows where Venus is emphasised; your Venus sign shows its style. Venus in Taurus or Libra is at home and relaxed; in Scorpio intense; in Aries bold and quick; in Pisces romantic and idealistic.
