Midnight at your birth
The Sun IC line is the mirror image of the Sun MC line: the meridian exactly halfway around the world from where it was noon at your birth. Along it, the Sun was at its lowest point beneath the horizon, directly under your feet, and it was local midnight. Like every IC line it runs straight from north to south. In a chart cast there, the Sun would sit on the IC, the bottom of the chart and the cusp of the 4th house of home, family, roots and private life.

The Sun is identity and vitality. At the IC, astrologers read it turned inward: a sense of self that grows in private rather than in public.
